lesson plan topic

Okay I just made my lesson plan and I chose to do different recycling methods that each student will have to present to the class.

    Can we do something as simple as having the students understand not just what we recycle like it seems you are doing, but why we recycle, the benefits of recycling?? I definitely think I am overthinking this.
